Pacific Press® hires new publicity director

Nampa, Idaho (August 4, 2003) -- Pacific Press Publishing has announced the appointment of Nicole Batten as publicity director. Batten will replace Warren Gough, who recently retired from this position. Gough will continue to serve on a part-time basis as director for Chapel Music.

Batten comes to Pacific Press from Newfoundland, Canada, where she has been working as the communications director for the VOAR Christian Family Radio Network (VOAR). She has recently completed a three-year campaign for VOAR expanding Adventist radio all across Canada.

Batten is a communications graduate of Walla Walla College and has received extensive training in public speaking and fundraising. Batten brings with her a wide variety of experiences in the field of media relations that promise to benefit Pacific Press Publishing.

Batten will assume her duties September 1st.
