Guide Magazine Still Leading Kids to Jesus

Nampa, Idaho (January 17, 2017) — Guide Magazine has been around for a while. Sixty-three years to be exact. But if you don’t have junior-age kids at home, or aren’t involved in teaching Sabbath School, it may have been some time since you last looked inside the magazine.

Guide contains more than a selection of fun tales. Each issue is packed with powerful, true stories that show kids what it really means to be a Christian. Kids learn vital lessons on character building, how to share their faith, the importance of Bible study and prayer, and most importantly, how to grow in their walk with Jesus.

Additionally, Guide Magazine provides a perfect complement to the PowerPoints Sabbath School lessons in the following areas:

  • PowerPoint is the official Sabbath School curriculum of the Seventh-day Adventist church and kids who follow this program through the Junior/Earliteen years will have a strong foundation in both Bible teachings and Adventist values
  • Each week's lesson also contains a new feature called Grace in Action. This true story will help kids apply the lessons they've learned in the weekly study
  • Games, puzzles, and daily activities helps kids form a daily habit of study and devotions
  • Since not all kids are readers, each week's lessons are also told in pictures. These colorful pages will draw even the most reluctant readers into the study

In order to include all this content, Guide Magazine no longer features the Real-Time Faith lesson. These lessons are readily available in quarterlies and can be ordered through the Sabbath School standing order for each church, or online at adventistbookcenter.com.

“Guide Magazine has been around for almost 65 years,” says editor Kathy Beagles, “yet its mission remains unchanged. While our young people are at the prime age for choosing whether or not to serve Jesus we want to connect them to Him and to the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.”
