Nampa, Idaho (July 27, 2015) — Pacific Press® administration and staff met this week with Dale Galusha, president, for a special prayer of dedication over a newly installed printing press.
With recent changes in the publishing work and the increase in workload newer, more efficient, equipment was required to meet the pressing demand. Equipment was found in Arizona for sale by a family-owned and operated plant. "It was easy to see God's hand in leading us to this specific machine," said Larry Johnson, vice president for production. "His timing was perfect. The equipment became available precisely when we needed it."
It took two weeks to disassemble the machinery and nine trucks to transport it from Phoenix to Nampa.

Moving Forward
Johnson commended everyone involved in helping with the installation. "We are in the midst of advanced training now, and we especially thank the pressmen who have put in many extra hours and have had to learn a whole new concept of printing with this new press."
The MAN Roland Rotoman is nine years old, and has all the necessary features needed in a busy publishing house, including a 50,000/hr running speed, fast folder changeover, and low start-up waste.
Galusha concluded by saying, "We look forward to serving the church in North America, and to faithfully playing our part in finishing the work."

Quick Facts
- The pad on which the press sits, is 130 feet long, 24 inches deep with 2 layers of 3/4" rebar that had to be prebent before installation.
- The pad took 21 days to cure and used 110 cubic yards of concrete.
- It took 9 trucks to move the press from Phoenix, AZ to Nampa, ID.
- The press units and the folder are aligned to within a thousandth of an inch.
- Advanced training on how to use the press has begun and over the next six weeks the press should be up to it optimum production.
