The Great Controversy Countdown Begins

Nampa, Idaho (February 9, 2012) — Pacific Press® has announced the release of a new resource: The Great Controversy Countdown. Developed in conjunction with the Ellen G. White Estate, the driving motivation behind this book is to help members become reacquainted with The Great Controversy before it is distributed to the public through The Great Controversy Project.

Created in a workbook format, The Great Controversy Countdown traces the great controversy theme through selections from the Conflict of the Ages set. But Countdown is more than just a new book. This dynamic program is perfectly tailored for use in prayer meetings, personal, or small group study. It contains a leader's guide and a two-track power point presentation which provides discussion questions for those reading about The Great Controversy theme for the very first time, as well as questions for more advanced readers.

"It is our vision that within the next twelve months, every seventh-day Adventist Christian will be studying this timely message, and will be inspired to share it with their friends and neighbors," said Dale Galusha, Pacific Press® president. "What a powerful way to unite the church in preparing for eternity and for spreading the gospel to the entire world."

Elder Ted N.C. Wilson, president of the world church of Seventh-day Adventists said, "I urge individuals, prayer meetings, and small groups to make use of this wonderful resource to see how God will guide His remnant people through the challenging days ahead as we anticipate Christ's soon, second coming."

Free downloads of the program are available at www.PacificPress.com/gcc and include the power point presentations, leaders guides, commitment cards, diplomas, reproducible bulletin inserts and order forms.
