Mark Finley Calls for Revival Through Prayer and Bible Study

Nampa, Idaho (October 14, 2010) — Pacific Press® has released a new book by Mark Finley entitled Revive Us Again. Given his years of international work in public evangelism, and now as assistant to the president for evangelism and vice chair of the newly formed Revival and Reformation Committee at church headquarters, Finley is uniquely positioned to share this message with the world church.

"My intent in writing this book is not to present some new startling, sensational information on revival and the Holy Spirit," Finley states. "My real goal is to lead readers through God's Word and the writings of Ellen G. White into experiencing the life-changing spiritual principles they contain."

In a recent address to employees at Seventh-day Adventist world church headquarters, General Conference President Ted N. C. Wilson shared his passion for a revival of true godliness and stressed the importance of prayer. This theme is woven throughout Revive Us Again. Finley writes, "Prayer is the answer….It is impossible to live godly lives in the end times with an inconsistent prayer life."

In typical fashion, Finley encourages, inspires and challenges his readers to grow in their understanding and experience of what it means to follow Christ. Through a life of prayer and Bible study, he assures, "God will use you as a catalyst for revival in your home, your school, your workplace, your neighborhood, and your local church."

Each chapter ends with a personal application section that is especially designed to lead readers into a prayer and devotional experience for spiritual revival. Revive Us Again is certain to become the handbook of choice for the world church under a leadership team committed to revival and reformation.
